Color Advice – Discover Your Unique Color Palette
1. Color Palettes Are Not Black and White
Although color consultants often work with four main categories (spring, summer, autumn, winter), many people don’t fit perfectly into one box. You can easily be “in between”: for example, a summer type with autumn influences, or a spring type that also looks good in summer shades. See the color types as guidelines, not strict rules. Your appearance is unique!
 
 

The 12 Color Types

Below you’ll find an English summary of each of the twelve color types, structured for easy use in your own document. Each section contains the English name and a concise description to help your clients identify their type. You can easily add your own images or color palettes to each section.
 

1. Soft Autumn

Soft Autumn is defined by gentle, muted, and blended tones. This palette is warm, subtle, and earthy think olive greens, terracotta’s, and corals. Soft Autumn types have softly blended hair, skin, and eyes, with little contrast and a warm/neutral undertone.


 

2. Warm Autumn

Warm Autumn features rich, earthy, and warm tones like burnt oranges, mustard yellows, and forest greens. The colors are intense and full-bodied, reflecting the rich hues of autumn foliage. Warm Autumns have warm undertones and natural depth in their coloring.



 

3. Dark Autumn

Dark Autumn is characterized by deep, dramatic, and warm shades. Think dark olive, deep teal, mahogany, and bronze. Individuals have strong, warm undertones and high contrast between hair, skin, and eyes.


 

4. Dark Winter

Dark Winter combines deep, cool, and vivid colors. This palette includes black, charcoal, pine green, and deep berry shades. People with this type have cool undertones and striking contrast in their features.




 

5. Cool Winter

Cool Winter is all about icy, cool, and clear colors true white, cool blues, and raspberry. Cool Winter types have blue or pink undertones and look best in crisp, high-contrast colors.



 6. Bright Winter

Bright Winter features high-contrast, vibrant, and cool shades. Think pure white, black, fuchsia, and cobalt blue. Bright Winter types have clear, cool undertones and suit bold, saturated colors.




7. Bright Spring

 Bright Spring is defined by clear, bright, and warm tones turquoise, coral, and bright yellow. People with this type have warm undertones and look best in lively, saturated colors.




8. Warm Spring

 Warm Spring is characterized by warm, golden, and fresh colorspeach, apricot, golden yellow, and leaf green. Warm Spring types have golden undertones and look best in gentle, sunlit hues.



 

9. Light Spring

Light Spring includes light, warm, and delicate shades peach, light aqua, and soft yellow. Individuals have light, warm coloring and suit gentle, fresh colors.



10. Light Summer

 Light Summer has soft, cool, and light shades powder blue, lilac, and light rose. Light Summer types have cool undertones and look best in airy, pastel colors.




11. Cool Summer

 Cool Summer features cool, muted, and medium-light colors dusty rose, periwinkle, and slate blue. Cool Summer types have cool undertones and suit soft, blue-based shades.



 

12. Soft Summer

Soft Summer is defined by cool, soft, and muted tones mauve, sage, and soft navy. Individuals have low contrast and cool undertones, and look best in gentle, powdery colors.
